This charter should be read and understood by all LS members. If you have any questions or remarks do not hesitate to contact an Officer.
Organization
Leadership - Officers
The following is a list of requirements for the Officers:
Be Respectful - not only of the LS Members, but of everyone that they meet in game.
Willing to help - Help out around the LS whenever you can.
Willing to listen - Help LS Members with their problems and listen to new ideas.
Communicate - Talk in chat, communicating the problems and ideas that you've heard.
Knowledgeable - No one knows everything, but you should still be have a good knowledge of the game.
Committed – Officers should be committed to the well being and advancement of the LS.
Positive attitude - Officers are expected to have a positive attitude in LS chat and with the LS Members. Doubts and concerns may be expressed to other officers or through the correct communication channels (e.g. forums).
Officers are role models for the new and younger members of the LS. Officers should act as we would like all LS Members to act.
Abuse of the officers’ powers is not permitted. If you feel an officer is abusing their power, please inform the Shell holder or HC.
To be promoted to the rank of Officer and receive a Title you must first wait for an Officer Title position to open. Once a position is open any LS member may put up a application to be selected to be promoted. Applicant must then get sufficient number of endorsements from non-officer LS members to be considered for promotion. After a certain amount of time has passed the current Officers will review the applicants and decide on a correct person. That person will be promoted to Officer probationary an be awarded their Title. After a given amount of time for training the probationary will either be fully promoted to officer or be returned to normal LS member status.

Officers will organize events like Instance runs etc. It is expected that Members try to get as involved as possible with these events if they have characters suitable for them.
LS events will be scheduled by Officers only. Any member though may make suggestions an make post of desired events and Officers will make a effort to accommodate these requests.

It is expected that all members of the LS treat each other with respect.
Continuous use of so-called ‘leet-speak’ or foreign languages is not encouraged, try to use (standard) English in the guild channel.
Bad language is tolerated, but if taken to excess or if members complain about it, the offender will be asked to moderate their language. Continued excessive swearing can ultimately lead to disciplinary action. Also bear in mind that our members come from different backgrounds and all ages races and sexes.
Cooperation is something we pride ourselves on. We wish this tradition to continue. Do not expect higher level characters give up too much time to help out the lower level characters, however, help is always appreciated and reciprocated.
Partying Raids and Instances
Loot rules must be established before the group begins any raid or instance. Common looting practices is to officially say which class is their main and secondary. If loot drops and it falls into some main category only they may need, if no one has it for main but someone has it for secondary then secondaries may need. If the loot does not fall into anyones main or secondary class then anyone may then need.
Loot rules for official guild parties will be determined by the Officers ahead of time.
Breaking of agreed upon loot rules may result in immediate expulsion from the LS.
Members are expected not to pick unnecessary fights with people from outside the LS. However, should the behavior of an external person in a party/raid be utterly intolerable (e.g. ninja-looting, verbal abuse), all members are encouraged to stick together, and, if appropriate, to warn the LS as a whole against these persons.

We are all human and we will, at some point, disagree with each other. All arguments should be handled discretely. This means no spamming LS chat with insults, accusations etc. All arguments should be taken to private channels (email, PM's, /t) as soon as possible.
If a problem can not be resolved please bring it to the attention of the appropriate Officers as soon as possible.
Under no circumstances are arguments to be carried on using the Forums. This causes more problems between Members and makes the Guild look bad. The same rule applies on IRC, Ventrilo or Teamspeak or any other place where the disagreement can be viewed publicly.
The officers have the final word in any dispute between Members.

We are not a LS that wants to police its members. We hope to use this section only rarely, but any breach can be reported to the Officers who will deal with the matter.
The Officers are responsible for deciding how to deal with Members who break Charter rules. Officers have complete freedom of action and can warn, fine (as reparations, in case of breaches related to money or items), demote or remove Members as they see fit.
Immediate removal from the Guild will only occur in the gravest of circumstances. If possible, the breaches should be discussed by several Officers before the more severe measures of demotion or removal are taken.
Breaches by recruits will face a lower level of tolerance than those of full members; they may be removed without consultation if their actions make clear they don’t share the general LS spirit.
The LS Officers have the right to use their judgement concerning anything that is not covered in the LS Charter.

The LS reserves the right to change the contents of the Charter at anytime it is deemed necessary to do so.
Agreement between the Officers and Shell Holder is sufficient for such changes.
